I am trying to find further info about Annie / Angeline Daley and her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth Daley.
In the 1881 census I have found Daniel Daley (b. 1838/39) and his wife Elizabeth (b. 1842/3) living at 12 Hope Place, St Augustine, Bristol, with the following children:
- Jno (b. 1866/7)
- Angela (b. 1869/70)
- Albert (b. 1872/3)
- Daniel (b. 1878/9)
- James (b. 1879/80)
- Martha (b. 1870 or 1880)
The place of birth was left blank in all cases.
In other records, Angela is variously Annie / Angeline. The 1891 census gives her place of birth as Bedminster, Bristol. According to family legend she was Irish or of Irish descent. I have been unable to find the family in the 1891 census (apart from Annie) or the 1871 census. I have also failed to find Annie’s birth certificate in the GRO indexes.
I would be grateful for any leads.
