Hi Roger ... this is our maternal line. David Daley and Jane Cathro are my husband's great-great grandparents - we are descended through their son, John. I've been researching the Saxby side of the family so haven't done much on the Daley's. You mention Peter Cathro and Ann Low - I do know that Peter's parents were Alexander Cathro and Janet Lownie. Alexander was born about 1760, and died 1844 St. Andrews, New Brunswick. Alexander was a weaver in Dundee Scotland before he emigrated to Canada. He and Janet were married on December 4, 1784, I believe in Scotland. Janet's father was William Lownie.

John Daley (born c1861) married Mary Ann Foster in 1888. One of their children, Otto Harold Daley (born March 27, 1900) married Grace Heaman (born February 21, 1905)on June 1, 1927. Both are now deceased. Otto and Grace had one daughter, Glenna Inez Daley, my mother-in-law. Glenna married Stephen John Saxby. Both are now deceased.

Would be interested in sharing whatever I learn.

Regards,
Nancy Saxby
