Brenda, are you sure about James born 1790 having the james born in 1821 who went on to marry Ann Shirreffs because all of the research that my Great Aunt did says that the First James was born in 1794, and he married Ann ?? and had James (1821-1890) who married Ann Shirreffs.

Just so you know James (1821-1890) would be my Great Great Great Grandfather on my mothers side. Anyone interested can find all of the work down by my Great Aunt at http://www.cunningeng.com/peter/Geneology/d0000/g0000026.html#I498 it starts with me and if you follow the Dalgarno line (my Mom her father, grandfather etc. you can go back to the James that I mentioned above.
