Hi Brenda,
I believe our families may be related.
My gggrandfather was James Dalgarno b.1 May 1821 in Longside, Aberdeen, his brother George b. 23 Jun 1827 in Old Deer,Aberdeen immigrated to Ontario (he's listed in the 1871 census). James son Robert (my greatgrandfather) stayed with his Uncle George in Ontario when he first came to Canada and prior to moving to Manitoba.
James and George had two sisters Jean b. 20 May 1823 and Christian b. 28 April 1825.
I believe their parents were James Dalgarno and Margaret Simpson.
Give a yell if these sound familiar. I have some additional family info if you're interested.
