Steve, you may well find Sarah Dallin in the Devon 1851 census, bearing in mind that there were so many variations at that time: Dallin, Dallan, Dallen, Dalling, Dallyn (the most prevalent), and Tallin etc. They (or rather, we) were heavily concentrated in North Devon, and there are still more than 100 in 2001! Good hunting!
