Great, thanks Lisa! Can you give me more info about #3, Joseph Fairchild in my list? Could my #2 be his eldest son? Charles E. Dallyn, 6 in 1851, became a well-known blacksmith and then carriage maker and salesman in the San Francisco area between 1870 and 1910.
If he was the grandson of Joseph F, that would explain where he did his apprenticeship.
Do you know why the Dallyn family moved from the UK to Canada? Where did Joseph do his apprenticeship?
