Dalli/en poss. variation of Dalling?

Researching one name study of Dorling I found the earliest spelling to be Dalling (rhyming with falling I presume). This may be irrelevant to your surname but other spelling variations have been Dallen, Dorlen, Dorlden, Dawling even Dawley. I have come across Dallen as an Irish surname - I don't know how this is pronounced. Dalling/Dorling is from Norfolk and Suffolk in England, originating from the place names of two villages in Norfolk, Wood Dalling and Field Dalling. There is also a village called Dallinghoo in Suffolk. Feedback most welcome, Karen
