Peter, You've got it. Stanley House, was demolished in 1966 to make way for the new Precinct in Sale (not being local I just about remember this). It was his daughter Amelia Horton Clough's home. The Clough family had lived there since circa 1860.
No more info held but now have the interest to follow.(This is hubby's family line)
Will keep this site posted.
