Dwight , thank you for your response. My
grand father D'Aloia came to the US IN 1902
again in 1904. My faher , a lad of 18
arrived in 1912. They were from Celle San in the province of Foggia, the region of Pulgia. I have traced my family back to 1791
but know also that the name has been in use
in Italy since at least 1538. I continue to try to learn the meaning and the origin of the name,and would like any help offered. E mail address is Daloia22@cs.com Thanks for your message
