I purchased the subject pair of undated studio portraits taken by Lee Noland, Hardin, MO. The handwriting on both is identical and they were acquired together.
One photo of a mustachioed young man is identified on the back:
"Henry Smith Daly
Born 4/23.1853"
The other photo of two young boys is identified on the back:
"Henry Lee Daly
Born 4/13. 1886 [or 1888]
William Thomas Daly
Born 4/4 1890"
I haven't been able to find these individuals, who I assume are a father and his two sons, in the U.S. Census data.
