Have not posted this information in a while.. I am hoping it sounds familiar to someone.
AMATO / D'AMATO information
Raphael AMATO b. abt 1860 in Italy married Mary ________? (did find reference to her on a Social Security Application for their son Natale it looked as though her name was Michelina Gioacienna.. but I really cannot read it.
Raphael and Mary had at least 3-children (proven)
1. Guisepphina AMATO b. 23 JUL 1882 in Caserta, Italy (twin to Clementina) m. Gioaccchino FIATO
2. Clementina AMATO b. 23 JUL 1882 in Caserta, Italy. She settled in South Boston MA.
3. Natale AMATO b. 7 FEB 1887. He settled in Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania.
I have been told by my grandmother's sister that there were additional D’AMATO siblings, possibly a Mary Carmen D’AMATO and a Antonio D’AMATO / Vincenzo D'AMATO all were believed to have settled in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania close to their brother Natale. There could have been more.. I am very unsure at this point.
All three of these children also came to the United States. I believe between 1906-1910. Raphael and Mary never came to the US.
