Hello Jill,
The Damerow family you mention on the 1881 census are on my family tree.
Unfortunately I don't think they are anything to do with your Amelia.
Albert Damerow was born in Germany about 1846 and he was a tailor so he would be about eight years younger than Amelia so could not be her son.
