Hi Beryl...I am interested in your post about the Dann family in Liverpool. My Joseph Dan/n m. Susannah Miles in London area and had 2 children there: Joseph and William. They then are found in Liverpool, St. Peter Parish where Henry, Ann, George and Alfred [my g. grandfather b. 1841] were born. Joseph [Sr.] Died 1856 and the family moved to USA the same year, settling in IL, except Joseph [Jr.] in OH and William I have never found but he was in Virginia in 1865 and may have ended up in NY [where there are oodles of Dann's who came to USA long before 1856].
I always wondered why they moved to Liverpool when both Joseph and Susannah were probably b. in/near London area...maybe joseph had family there??? Could it have been yours???
If you should find anything I'd love to hear from you. By the way, Ann Dann m. and named one of her dtrs. Amy BERYL Holman[b. 1874]..Just a coincidence! I assume you are still in England somewhere??? Jo Ellen in Michigan
