Hazel Rogers D'Angelo, 93, of Tarboro died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount with the Rev. Ron McCraken officiating.

Mrs. D'Angelo was a member of the William & Mary Presbyterian Church in Leggett and also a longtime member of Edgecombe County Extension Homemaker and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was born Hazel Ophelia Rogers in Nash County, Sept. 18, 1912, and was the daughter of Ella Otis Lassiter and Joseph Van Rogers. As well as her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Rogers Bulluck and five brothers, Ronald Van Rogers, Albert Lee Rogers, William Milton Rogers, Joseph Aaron Rogers and Harvey Leo Rogers. She was the widow of Waldo Emerson Pittman, William Joseph Edmondson Sr. and Pasquale D'Angelo.

She is survived by a sister, Jean Rogers Odom of Marathon Shores, Fla.; two brothers, Alton Jackson "Jack" Rogers of Tarboro and Tommy Earl Rogers of Macon, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Mary Lou Edmondson Clark of Conetoe; a stepson, William Joseph Edmondson Jr. of Tarboro; and 18 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the William & Mary Hart Presbyterian Church, 77657 N.C. 33 NW, Tarboro NC 27886. The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today.
