Martha Daniel(s) married Abner Rice, MA

Greetings!

I am researching the ancestors and descendants of Martha Daniel(s) and Abner Rice who were married in Westboro, MA, 7 Mar 1752.

I want to determine the exact parentage of Abner Rice. There are two possibilities:

1. Abner Rice, born in Marlboro, MA, 21 Mar 1726, son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Taylor) Rice.

2. Abner Rice, born in Westboro, MA, 27 Sep 1732, son of Charles and Rachel (Wheeler) Rice.

I am most interested in the parentage of Abner's wife Martha Daniel(s). I have determined that she was not from Westrobo originally since there were no Daniel or Daniels families in that town before 1750. In any event, Martha was most likely born circa 1730.

It is known that Abner and Martha (Daniels) Rice removed from Spencer, MA to Halifax, VT (Bennington area) shortly after the birth of their daughter Thankful (b. 1758). I am most interested in finding their death dates.

I have also happened upon some Daniel(s) families who went to Westmoreland, NH. They may well have been the kin of my Martha since Westmoreland, NH was a "mother town" to the many Massachusetts families who later removed to Vermont.

If anyone has ANY data on Abner and Martha Rice, including dates, parental information, or descendants, please e-mail me directly at woodr97@yahoo.com.

Best regards,

Ryan D. Wood
