I am also interested in the Daniel and Midyetts. My ancestor was Estridge Daniel, b. 1782 in VA d. 1852 KY. His father was Thomas Daniel, his siblings; John, William, Thomas, James, Walker, and Elizabeth. I have only found a few instances where the Daniel and Estridge families were close. One of these is in connection with the Midyett family of Bodies island where Matthew Midyett's descendents intermarried with the Estridge and Daniel families. That is as much as I have been able to find out, but explains my interest in the Midyetts. It is possible that my Daniel line is also from the William Daniel/Judith Midyett line. Though the name Walker was used by the Caroline County, VA Daniels, I have not been able to make any connection to them. My Thomas was in Kentucky about the same time that Walker Daniel that laid out Danville was prominent there, so that may be why he named a son Walker.
