I am currently research the Daniell's of Trelissick, Cornwall, England and have a an extensive family tree going back to the early 1600's - to 1750s for Daniell's when Thomas Daniell married Elizabeth Elliot (Eliot/Elott). Elizabeth Elliot's mother, Gertrude, was an Allen and her brother was Ralph Allen - one of the most important men in the development of Georgian Bath, Somerset. It is the Allen family that I am really tracing, and who I have back so early as the 1600's. However am also trying to find out who Gertrude's husband was (Richard of Philip), but in doing so have become intrigues with the Daniell family. Nearly every branch has continued with the name 'Ralph Allen' Daniell (or alternative surname). I have come across reference to Captain Edward going to New Zealand and have been trying to follow up a name there, born 1960. Unfortuantely I don't have this to hand at present, but would be pleased to pass this on to you, and indeed, to hear more of anything you may have, and to exchange info. There is a Ralph Allen (Daniell?) still alive in Cornwall, but I udnerstand does not wish to be approached as he is tired of having been approached by so many (???).
Look forward to hearing from you.
