If You Are a Descendant/Robert Daniell 1646-1718

If you are a descendant of Gov. Robert Daniell - and in case there is any doubt - the correct spelling - according to the governor himself - is: DANIELL.

(NOT: Daniel, Daniels, Daniells, etc.)

I have a copy of Gov. Daniell's signature dated September 1714 - and his signature is very clear: ROB. DANIELL

If you have, for some reason, chosen another spelling of this surname, that is your business. However, when I see this, I always wonder whether that person is really SURE he or she is an actual descendant of the governor.

I realize that in previous generations the name has been spelled otherwise, however - to my knowledge - no one has proven (PROVEN) the lineage of Gov. Daniell to his OWN ancestors...who may or may not have a different spelling.

If you have PROOF of the names of Gov. Daniell's parents, etc...meaning documented PROOF, please share same with this forum.
