I read your post on the spelling of Daniell.

Anyone who has been involved in genealogy for more than a month knows that until the mid to late 1800's, there was no "spelling" at all. Everyone spelled things as they heard them. For this reason, many surnames were found spelled multiple ways, even within the same document! You cannot base descendency on the spelling of a name!
