I am real interested. I have a Robert C. DANIEL born about 1765 who migrated to Burke County, GA about 1810. His oldest daughter is named, Amelia "Milly" DANIEL born 1895 and she married a William P. TAYLOR.
The names of the families located near this family are ERWIN, WISE, TARVER and VALLOTTON. They lived in the 65th Militia District, Bruke County, GA. The given names in my bunch match very closely the given names in Jeremiah VEREEN's family. Coincidence, I do not know.
My GGF was Robert W. DANIEL, Esq. (1809-1865) of Bethany, Jefferson County, GA. I have a picture of him taken about 1863 if you would like to see it.
There are all too many links in my bunch to Charleston as well as the island trading community (West Indies, Cahrles, Savannha, VA and New England) for DANIELL not to be a strong possibility.
My DANIEL bunch were not share-croppers or the like. They were professionals and moderately wealthy. Does any of this sound familiar? If so, drop me a note at
