Daniell / Daniels Family, Long Marston, Hertfordshire

Dear All

The Daniell / Daniels family lived in Long Marston, Hertfordshire. The earliest reference is to John Daniell who married Rebecca Seabrooke in Long Marston in 1798. The family prospered and my descendant, William, moved away. He kept the Daniell spelling whilst the rest of the family's name changed to Daniels.

I am stuck before 1798 as John Daniell moved into the area, but I don't know where from. He was well educated, having a beautiful signature and he was the parish clerk of the parish. I haven't managed to look at the Census Returns for 1841 / 51 yet, but Rebecca at least should be on them as she died in 1859.

Any help or contact most welcome!
