Thanks for your interesting reply - when you have time, look up: Jehan Dupont Descendants/contact person Joe Lee. They have Stephen Bedon Daniell //Jr// married to Mary Michael Daniell...not Stephen Bedon Daniell, Sr.(???)

Years ago, I saw a list of early settlers in Georgia - I think the year was 1805 - which listed Stephen Bedon Daniell and wife, Rebecca. With all the children he and Ann Goodlett had - out of necessity I think he would have found someone to marry to help him raise these children.

In Sarah Grange Howe's will, dated 26 Sep. 1796, proved 1804 (Brunswick County, NC), she notes children of her deceased daughter(Mrs. Ann Goodlet Daniell)and Stephen Bedon Daniell as: Sarah Daniell, Rebecca, John Daniell, George Daniell (my line), Stephen Daniell and Ann Daniell.

The above noted George W. (stands for Washington) Daniell was b. 5 April 1782 NC d. 20 Aug. 1845, Laurens Co., Ga. He served in the War of 1812. Married a Mary Gonto (or Gornto) who died 1 June 1835. Have not been able to find out much about Mary...still working on her.

Let me know if you are unable to find the (Dupont) site I mentioned -
