Nina:

Have not done a lot of research on Smith Coffee Daniellof late - but he is still on my mind...any assistance regarding same from anyone-would be of interest to me.

I was looking at your on-line site and am wondering about several things. One: What proof do you have that Robert Daniell and Margaret James were parents of Gov. Robert Daniell (1646 -1718)? And you note that his grandfather was George Daniell and his grandmother was a Katherine Jekler...I am not disputing this, but am wondering what kind of proof you have found.

Secondly, you mention that William Howe was married to a Rachel Howe. Was this Rachel Howe supposed to have been a dtr of Major Gen. Robert Howe of NC? (If so, it is highly questionable that the above mentioned Robert Howe had a dtr named Rachel.)

KEN DANIELL (I consider Ken to be THE authority on the Robert Daniell family - questions this as well.) He is a descendant of your William Daniell...brother of my Stephen Bedon Daniell who married Ann Goodlet Howe, a dtr of Major Gen. Robert Howe and his wife Sarah Grange.

Nina, I would love to have proof of Gov. Daniell's lineage.
Please let me know what proof you have found -

Best wishes,

Fran in SC
