I am aware that Governor Robert Daniell used the LL spelling. I have known this for years. My position is that the Daniel or even Daniels spelling does not enter into the issue as to whether or not one is descended from Governor Robert Daniell. My contention is the implication that those of us not using the LL spelling are unworthy of claiming descendency is insulting.
