I am a Daniell descended from the Wanganui Daniells and before that those at Trellisick, Cornwall.
I recognise one of the names in your family tree as my father's great aunt Ida. What a tragic sounding past with arsenic poisoning and deaths on atlantic crossings et al.
Still, there are four of us Daniells descended from John Groves Daniell, a NZ Army colonel. My father had a sister, Robin (now dead) and a much younger brother, Alan who also has children - at least 2 that I know of.
Their father was Groves Daniell who died many years ago in Nelson, NZ.
We have many cousins or second or third cousins sprinkled across Wanganui region.
It is fascinating to read of the past in your messages. I do recall being told of a skeleton in the Daniell cupboard in the shape of a gambler who lost the family 'fortune'.
