Hello Margaret
I presume the date for Elizabeth's death is correct - only I have seen detail of a will for her as being dated 1825...
There are two of us researching the Daniell family - one because he is related to the Daniell's and myself as I am doing an in-depth study of the Allen family which brought me to the Daniell's (Thomas Daniell's marriage to Elizabeth Elliott, her mother was formerly Gertrude Allen sister of the famous man of Bath (England) Ralph Allen - Thomas Daniell seems to have been as clever at making money as he was) and the more I have uncovered the more intrigued I have become - so I am interested in hearing anything about the family. And indeed I am happy to share my findings - but as I expect you are aware Ralph Allen Daniell's family was extensive 16 - 18 children - I have a lot on them all - and some branches I am in contact with living descendants. Are you related? Would really like to hear where you fit in!

As to the up-line, we have not been able to establish a direct link with Alexander etc. as we have not been able to find a date of birth for Thomas, or even an age when he died, and as there are several Thomas Daniell's born between 1715 and 1730 which could fit the picture we haven't as yet been able to pin-point exactly which is ours - hence we are dubious as to this connection, although much has been written about that family and early historians have suggested this is the same family. We feel we need more proof.

Apparently there was a family bible, not sure how far it went back, which passed down through Phillip's family, but seems to have gone missing in the late 1970's....

Do get in touch and we can share are findings and maybe I can put you in touch with some distant relatives?

I regularly visit Cornwall as part of this research.
