It is with sadness the family of Peter Douglas Daniell announce his passing at St. Paulís Hospital in Vancouver on Aug. 2, 2007 in his 89th year.
Peter was born on Nov. 29th, 1918 in Bangkok Siam (now Thailand) and traveled extensively with his father whoís career in engineering took him all over the world. Following his fatherís death Peter immigrated to Canada with his mother and sister where he pursued his schooling at North Shore College prior to accepting a job with the Bank of Montreal.
During the 2nd World War Peter served in the air force in the Secret Equipment Division on the East Coast. Following the war he resumed his career with the Bank of Montreal.
In 1960 in his quest for new adventure Peter brought his family to Quesnel to a 320 acre farm in the Dragon Lake area. For the next 18 years, as well as farming, he kept his hand in accounting working for Spencer-Dickie Drugs as well as for Lon Godfrey Real Estate and Insurance. In 1978 he decided to retire early and spent time travelling with his wife prior to pursuing the successful hobby of porcelain doll making.
Through the trials and tribulations of diabetes and finally kidney failure Peter maintained a jovial attitude to what he considered to be a full and successful life.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanie; one sister, Jean Crawshaw; 6 children: Paul (Suzanne), Tony (Loraine), Steven, Roger, Cindie Adams (Brian), and Pam Scorah; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
Donations can be made in his memory to the Salvation Army
