I'm a decendant of William Daniell (1743-1840) and his first wife Rachel Greenbury Howe and their son Nathaniel by way of his son George. Both Nathaniel and George settled in Texas in 1838. I have considerable information about William and his family, but have not seen his Will. If you, or anyone else, have a transciption, I would love to see it. Through a lot of research, I have found considerable information about William, both of his wives, and all but one of his 26 children. You can find a lot of this information through other documents provided by Ancestry.com. Check out the "Geogia Bible Records" which provide transcriptions of the family data in the Bibles of several of William's sons. "McCall-Tidwell and Allied Families", another Ancestry.com source contains about 20 pages of considerable detail about William Daniell, his wives, childrens, parents, etc. Unfortunately, it does not provide much info about their son George Daniell, but the Bible sources and other sources on Ancestry.com will help fill in the missing data in the book. George was William's son by his first wife, Rachel Howe, who apparently died giving birth to him. George married Ellen Barber. Rachel Howe was the daughter of Robert Howe, the famous Revolutionary War Major General.
Good luck - By the way, my conection is via my mother, whose mother was a Daniels. Both of her parents are buried in the Fortran Cemetery north of Victoria, Texas. I was born and raised in San Antonio and currently live in Houston. I would appreciate any information that you are willing to provide regarding George's life after his marriage since I'm trying to track all of William's children. I'm especially interested in any photos or illustrations that are available.
