Thank you so much for the quick reply and the information you provided. I'm looking forward to receiving any more info that you might have and am willing to share. A couple of pages in McCall-Tidwell and Allied Families provided some highlights of Gov. Robert Daniell's accomplisments and life and a few details about his life, including his son John's Will. I was surprised to discover that Gov. Daniell had the land rights to Pariss Island. I know that he also lived on a plantation on Daniell's Island just north of Charles Town and died there. I have tried to find some historical information about Daniell's Island with no success. I'm new at all of this, having worked on my family's genealogy for only a few months, but it is very exciting, especially if one enjoys solving mysteries.
