I was following everything you said, which made sense to me with regard to Nathaniel's wife and their 3 or 4 sons, until you said that the N C Daniel that died in Georgia was born 18 Mar 1774 and was supposedly the parents of William Daniell and Rachel Howe.
My Nathaniel C. Daniel definitely died on 6 Aug 1840 in Texas. He definitely married a woman named Hannah Martha (last name not certain). She was definitely born ca 1783 in North Carolina acording to the Federal Census records. Nathaniel and her definitely had a son named George. I don't know for certain when they were married, but based on the birth of George, who was born in Georgia sometime between 1801 and 1804 according to 3 Federal Censuses, it was between 1799 and 1802, indicating that she was somewhere between the age of 16 and 19 when she married. I don't really have any definite facts regarding their children other than George was definitely their son.
Many sources including some of my aunts have claimed that this Nathaniel was the son of William Daniell and Rachel (last name not know for certain). However, I have not been able to prove whether he is or not! If he was the one born to William and Rachel in 1774, he would have been between 25 and 28 when he married Hannah Martha.
Can you tell me how you know that the N. C. Daniell that died in Georgia was the son of William and Rachel and not the one that died in Texas?
I would like to thank you for your help.
