Hi, thanks for the message! I had all that information too. BUT, more than one person has told me that the Dorothy Chamberlaine info is not true. Along with the Bacon's Rebellion story, and Barbados. That an infamous fraud had invented the story in the early 1900's. I KNOW she was a real person, cause I've seen her listed in many books and records. BUT, when I point out that fact to the "nay-sayers", they said the books were written AFTER the great fake, and the writers had used his false information in the writing of their books, and even listed him in their Bibliographies! So, NOW I don't know what books or records to believe when it comes to Governor Robert Daniell, of S.C.! I just want someone to come out with the TRUTH! I find it hard to believe that a man of his station, would not have a well-documented family tree. ESPECIALLY, if he was married to a Royal (Chamberlaine). Back then, they traced a potential spouse's ancestry to see if they were "suitable" for Royal marriage. No one is even sure WHERE the man was born, or WHO his father was. Because that info was faked too. I've been stuck on Gov Daniell for nearly 20 years. I pretty much gave up on ever finding the truth. I know there is a special place in HELL for the man who defrauded all Gov Daniell's descendants for generations! We may never know the truth..it's SOOOO frustrating!! Sorry, it gets me riled up. If you ever find the TRUTH, PLEASE let me know?
