Thank you very much! I never checked much into the actual land. I was sure I heard someone on a Marine Documentary on TV, (probably History channel or Military channel), talking of the history of Pariss Island and how the Marines got there. I was sure he said it had been orginially called "Daniell Island". Perhaps it started out as Daniell Island, and then when it was changed to Pariss Island, they decided to rename the other island as Daniell? I also saw a documentary on someone doing salvage on "The Daniell" ship. But, I came in near the end and never heard where it was located. I've never caught the rerun, or been able to find it online. Starting to wonder if I dreamed all this! lol "The Daniell" was captained by Gov Robert Daniell's son, Marmaduke, who died at sea. Maybe, that was when the ship went down? At any rate, if you find anything on any of this, please let me know! There MUST be a record of salvaged ships SOMEwhere! Donna
