I also found a Sherman Danielson in the SSDI, whose last residence was North Dakota (where Milton was born) and whose SS card was issued in Washington where the family lived. This Sherman might be Milton's father.

You could ask a volunteer for Ward County, ND at www.raogk.org. They often look up obituaries.
