John Dannison,please note spelling, was listed on the 1800 and 1810 census for Allegany County, MD and was head of a household located near Flinstone. By 1817, he moved to Ohio, Perry County, Madison Township, with his familly. He died in Perry County about 1830. One of his sons, Edward Danison, please note spelling, was a noted hunter in the county.
