I, too, have ancestors born in Birmingham, England by the name of Danks. According to my family's records, my great, great grandfather, William Danks, was born in 1812. I can't help but wonder if your Joseph could be a brother to our William. William had 10 children, also. Their names were: George(1836), Sarah(1838), Samuel(1840), Elizabeth(1843), william(1845), Mary(1848), Joseph(1854), Charles(1855), Hannah(1857), Annie(18??). Joseph (b.1854) was my great grandfather. Would be interested in knowing your thoughts. Thank you.
