Hi, Amelia.
The only George that I have found on my family tree is the brother of my 5xG Grandfather, John. John Dann was chr. in Burwash, SX on 9 Sept 1717. He later married Frances Ford in Wartling, in 1753. (Which is about as far from Burwash as is Rye.) His brothers were George, James, and Jasper. Their sister was Mary. Could this George be a grandfather to your George? George married Katherine Edwards, according to the tree I found on the website. I searched the Ancestry World Tree using the name of my 2XG Grandmother's brother, Obed. Only 3 Obed's show up, all one and the same person. CLick on the pedigree, and follow it up. Of course, it's getting pretty sketchy by the time it gets back that far.
I don't know if this is any help. Good luck!
