HI again, Jo Ellen!
Hey, I'm in Michigan, too! Southwestern Michigan, Barry County. Quite a few of our Danns settled here first, then moved on. As I said in the response RE: Hastings, David Dann and many of his children came here in the decade plus from 1846 -1857. Wouldn't it be something if we were related even farther back than that? Which part of the US did your family first come to?
