Hi Denise!
I also am descended from the Danns who came to Michigan. David Dann (chr.1795) Wartling, Sussex, England, came to the US after his wife, Sarah Eliza Baker Dann died. Two of his children, William and George, remained in England. The rest, Sarah Ann Dann Boniface (my 2XG Grandmother), David, Mary, Obed, Charles, Ephriam, James and Daniel came to America, some as early as 1846, some not until 1857. Several settled in Allegan county. In Gun Plains twp. there is a curve which used to be called Dann's Corners. Someone has put portions of this family on the Ancestry World Tree. I explained how to find it in other responses to this mailing list. Do you think you are connected to this family?
