Albert James Dann - so close!!!!!
I have as part of the Smith/Ames of Scipio, (near Ithaca) NY clan many of whom moved to Grand Rapids, Lena Alberta Smith b. 26 May 1868, a schoolteacher, married 26 June 1889 Albert James DANN, a teacher who became superintendant.
Children:
Stanley Wilson DANN b. 24 Mar 1893 married 1 Sep 1915 to Florence THORBURN. No children. He was a newspaperman, printer and a musician in Grand Rapids, where her family had migrated to.
Frances Ruth DANN born 18 May 1895, musical and a schoolteacher, married 6 Oct 1915 to William O.C. Tietz of Grand Haven, MI who was a baker in Lake Odessa, MI. Their children were Donna Louise b. 4 Aug 1916, Virginia June, b. 3 July 1920, and William Stanley Tietz, b. 12 Aug 1921.
Seeking live cousins to share family stories with 84 year old distant cousin born 1917 in Grand Rapids to Hazel Jenny Smith and Victor Rolfe (an apparent black sheep who didn't stick around very long)
