In researching my Dann/Danne relatives in Limerick I have come across 2 references to an Alfred G. Dann. 1) he was Rector of a parish in Clarina, Limerick in November of 1893 when he reported the death of his 79 yr old mother Isabella(?maiden name Sparling, trying to verify)...2)In June 1831 an Alfred G. Dann reported the death of Anna Isabel, age three from Vermont,Clarina, Limerick of diptheria...he was also listed as a Rector at that time. I have a feeling that the first mentioned Alfred is the son of the 2nd mentioned Alfred and the brother of the deceased Anna Isabel, who was named after her mother. Doesn't it seem more that a coincidence that there would be more than one family with Alfred G.'s? I am trying to put these Danns together with my William's and Jonathan's,believed to have gotten to Ireland through marriages. Also there are several Danns listed in the Royal Irish Constabulary records..Alexander, Edw., George., Henry, Jonathan, John, Nathaniel, Robert, William...all stationed through what is now both North and South Ireland. Hope this helps someone with their research.
