My branch of the Dann family lived in Chenango and Broome counties (west of Delaware and Sullivan counties)from 1792 into the 20th century. They previously lived in the lower Hudson valley and in Stamford, Connecticut. I have substantial information on the line, but no record of a Darius Dann or Dan. (Our family and other branches changed the name from Dan to Dann after the Civil War.) It's highly likely that there is a link between the two lines. It's a question of how far back it is.
