ANNA DANN, B. CA. 1880. SAID TO LIVE WITH SUSAN & MARY ANTHONY IN ROCHESTER, NY

Anna Dann would have been about 20 when she lived with Susan B. and sister Mary S. Anthony in their home in Rochester, Monroe Co, NY, in 1900. She is supposed to have immigrated from Canada (with or without parents?) about 1897. Where in Canada? Was Dann a married name or maiden? I'm not able to find any of the above "old maid schoolteachers" in the 1900 census using the traditional methods. I dread the thought of going page by page in the Rochester section, so am hoping someone who sees this will help me know where to look for this elusive young woman. It would help if I knew where in Canada, whether or not she married later, the names of any siblings or maybe her parents' names, but I don't. The only clue I have is that she was living with the Anthony sisters in Rochester around 1900. Anybody with any clues that might help PLEASE get in touch quick ... before my sister drives me nuts about it! Thanks
Sherry Leland
