My Joseph Dan/n m. per at:
"Marriages solemnized in the United Parishes of Christ Church and St. Leonard, Foster Lane, in the City of London, in the Year 1828."
"No.380. Joseph Dan of this Parish Bachelor & Susanna Miles of the same Parish Spinster, were married in this Church, by Banns this Twenty fourth Day of November in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Eight, By me, Wm Geode, Curate." I'm not sure what being married by Banns means; would they have married in E. grinstead and the marriage was just recorded at London?

Per Civil war records of son, Henry, Joseph d. 1852, Liverpool. LDS at has a Joseph Dann b. 1802 at East Grinstead...I have not gotten that microfische to check any of this out to help determine if this Joseph is our ggg.grandfather. Per that record, Joseph is the son of Joseph and Mary Dann of East Grinstead. My Joseph and Susan's first 2 children were christened at East Grinstead per the afore mentioned LDS info. The next 4 were chr. at St. Peter Parish, Liverpool.

We have not a clue why they left E. Grinstead between 1831 [when 2nd child was born there] and 1833 [when 3rd child was b. in Liverpool]. Wife and children came to USA 1856 after Joseph d. 19 March 1856 [again, per Civil War record].

If you ever connect something of yours with ours let me know. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you!]
