I want to start out by apologizing for everything being so wishy-washy, I can't get straight answers for some of it, and certain relatives get upset when I ask.
I'm looking for my biological grandfather (and subsequent family tree). His name is either Albert James Dann or James Albert Dann. In the late 1950s he lived in southern California. He met my grandmother (Beverly Hayes) when they were in high school. They never married, once my great-grandfather found out my grandmother was pregnant, he told my grandfather to man up and marry her or get out. My grandfather chose the latter. His nickname was either Tex or Red. (Unfortunately I have a biological great-grandfather missing on the same side who also had a 3 letter nickname.) I fairly certain it was Red.
Their son, Michael James Dann (born 1959 in Los Angeles), is my father. Any help that anyone might have is greatly appreciated. I'm trying to put together my family tree, but nobody will talk to me about this branch beyond what I've been able to give you.
Supposedly he visited my father when he was about 4, but that's all my dad remembers about him, that he visited.
