Good evening Dannites, Dick Wood here.
It has been some time since I worked on my DAN limb. During the past two weeks, I have been trying to reconcile my DAN files. It appears that I have a lot of duplication of information, between hard copy paper and computer files. However, I believe I am one baby step closer to getting them organized and digitized.
One of my immediate tasks is to try and find the ancestors of Mary BROWN, wife of Francis DAN.
Mary, b. 15 May 1730, is the wife of Francis DAN, b. 30 May, 1727; married 21 Dec, 1749 to Mary BROWN, at New Castle, Westchester Co., NY.
My computer presently has two sets of parents for Mary. One is Jonathon BROWN and Mary SLASON. This source is the WDC Gen Web-Descendents of Francis BROWN, and traces Jonathon’s ancestors back to Francis BROWN, bca. 1607 in England.
The second set of parents is John BROWN and Sarah UNKNOWN, with no ancestors of either parent. This source is the Barbour Index-Stamford Town Records.
The area of Mary and John BROWN’s ancestors is where I need the forum’s help.
