Dear Jo Ellen,

Aplogies for the delay in responding. George Alfred Dann was born Feb 21 1873 in Woolwich, Kent England. Was son of Francis Dann and Eliza (?) and grew up in Kent. Would appear to have been an NCO in the British Imperial Forces (Army) and may have served in India. In any event, he married a relative of mine, Charlotte Gravener in Dover, Kent in 1901. They and 2 children emigrated to Canada in about 1910 and settled in Vancouver. I believe he was a member of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in WW1 and returned to Vancouver after the war. Have traced him to the 1940 "census" in Canada and know that he died in 1948. He is buried in Mountain View Cemetery,Vancouver as is Charlotte who died in 1963.

One of their children was Frank (or Francis) who I know was in the RCMP. The other was a daughter referred to as "Babs". That's all I know but am interested in finding out more about this family and whether there are any living descendants etc.
