I am Cheryl Casey-Walker. Leonard Dansby was my uncle. His sister (Ella Louise Dansby),
who married a Casey, is my mother.
Dear Uncle Leonard--what a sweet man! I've often wanted to know more of the details of
the time he took home the little black boy, who had been deserted by farm workers
Uncle Leonard had hired. Uncle Leonard, of course, raised him pretty much as one of
his own during a time when racism and prejudice abounded. How incredible and what
a wonderful family legacy!
How very interesting I should find this email address and bit of my family history!
I'm looking forward to hearing from you,
P.S. My mother is still alive; she's 88 years old and still pretty much alert.
You know those Dansby were made of strong material!
