Good Morning Mrs. Nadine,

My name is Cornelious Dansby. I am the son of Clem Dansby, son of Alto Beal Dansby, son of Isham Beal Dansby, son of John Dansby from North Carolina. My father died in 1995, but before he did we took a trip to Elamville where I saw my great grandfather’s grave and also the Dansby Graveyard on Dansby Cementary Road. They are only a few miles apart.

I have found your email address on the internet and read some of your correspondence with some of our other relatives. I was hoping you might have more information on John Dansby from North Carolina. I have relocated from Alabama to North Carolina and would love to try to find our origins. Thanks for any help you might offer. Also, I have much of the more recent history of Alto Beal’s children – only one still living, the youngest daughter, Dorothy. Her son is Alto Rex Baggat (Al), my cousin who has posted some research. He works at the Pentagon and has access to the National Archives. You might have seen some of his writings concerning the Elamville Dansbys during the War Between the States.

I look forward to hearing from you even if you do not have information.

Thanks,

Corny Dansby
