Looking for Dansby's out of OK in the 20's-30's. Most are now in SoCal (Santa Barbara, LA).

I am researching Dansby for a friend, here is what I have per 1930 census:

1. John Dansby, age 22, laborer, father born OK, mother AK
2. Eva Dansby, age 18, housewife, father born LA. mother AK

Childred:
1. Helen Ross, age 2
2. Johnnie M. Dansby, age (infant)

Eva is still living in Santa Barbara, I know she re-married at some point. Helen died in the late 1980's, Johnnie Mae and several younger siblings are still either in SoCal or Canada.

Eva also had at least two sisters, Viola and Alice.

I think they had roots in Canadian, OK. Love to find Fred Ross also (natural father of Helen). BTW,all were African-Americans.

John
