Searching for any descendants & info! Auxilda (Asilda) Daoust (b. approx 1850-55, possibly born in Normandy, France). Married: Levis Meilleur (b. approx 1850-55, also may have been born in Normandy). Living in St. Andrews, Newfoundland in 1875. Levis believed to have been a lumberjack, and was killed in a lumbering accident in the Tawas, MI area around 1891. Children: Joseph Yvon Oliva Meilleur (b. 1/8/1875 in St. Andrews, Newfoundland, d. 12/10/1967. Changed name to Levi in 1946), Mary Meilleur, Paul Meilleur, and William Meilleur (who may not be a child, but another relative. He witnessed Joseph's marriage in 1898). Possible relative of Auxilda is found in Holy Rosary Cemetary records, Grand Marais MI: Gedeon Daoust (b. 9/23/1833, d. 3/25/1900). Other relatives of Auxilda may have been Joseph Daoust and Visaline Sequin, who's names appear as sponsors on the baptism record of Auxilda and Levis' son, Joseph, in 1875. Any info greatly appreciated!
